one more week!

So we only have one more week until the big day…. Kindergarten!

For now we are enjoying playgroups and enjoying the sun while it’s out. I’m also cleaning up the trailer for our last camping trip of the season… maybe. We might try and hit the beach one more time. Plus I worked on trimming back the trees from the house and trailer.

The kids had fun at their playgroup today. Water play, juice and friends, what else is better :0).

Tomorrow I’ve gotta get together with JoAnna and work out details on food and such for camping this weekend. We are meeting up with a few other families at Yogi Bear’s Jellystone Park… fun! JoAnna and the boys are riding up with us and I think there will be 4 other families there too. Plus we are all in the same area, we booked our spots back in January. Talk about planning ahead, thanks Misty! It’s gonna be a lot of fun!

rain, thunder, lightening, not gonna stop us!

Yesterday we headed up to Canobie Lake Park. Jarod had a baseball game and met us afterwards. Therefore the kids and I headed up there aiming for an 11am(when they opened) arrival. We made it after I figured out where it was :0).

We met JoAnna and her family up there at the same time. The first thing we did was the Ferris Wheel, Preston was SO excited just to do that… it was the first hing he saw since it was by the bathrooms! After that we found a car ride for Ryan. It was the first ride that all the kids went on by themselves!! They did great!

It seemed like we just went back and forth in front of the entrance for hte first couple of hours and finally settled on having lunch… Jarod joined us as we finished up lunch. Then we dove deeper into the park.

Preston was excited for Dad to get there cause that ment he could go on the roller coasters. Now that he’s 48″ tall, taller with his shoes on, he gets to go on all the BIG coasters! He LOVES them!! He even went on the crazy Zero Gravity stuff and loves that too.

Kyla really enjoyed all the kiddy rides and even saw her first fireworks! Yes, we got there at 11:00am and didn’t leave until aobut 10:15pm. The kids did great and as soon as we headed home Kyla was out and Preston was almost out but managed to make it home :0).

It was a fun day, everyone enjoyed the day, even with the rain!

So today we were suppose to go to Davis’ Farmland but the weather wasn’t looking all that great so we headed to an indoor playground instead. Perpetual Motion is a neat indoor place with all kinds of stuff for the kids to do. There are two sides, one for under 6 and one for over 6 or 42″+. Preston is able to do both sides.

They had soo much fun there. They were literally dripping sweat by the time we left. We had met some other Moms and kids there so after we headed over to a friends house and had pizza. It was quite good!

After that we headed home and just chilled the rest of the afternoon. Tomorrow Jarod has a playoff game for baseball and then he is going to meet us up at Canobie Lake Park. Hopefully the weather holds and we don’t get too much rain. We’ve made this a family outing with JoAnna and her family… luckily we got some free passes to Canobie, thanks Pamela!!

We would try and do another weekend but we really don’t have another weekend before the passes expire… so much to do! :0)

Xmas Wishes

We had a very laid back day today. Though this afternoon we ran over to Gymnastics to pay for our future Olympian’s classes :0). Then we headed over to the library and on to Target… again. I found the school list for what Preston needed and we were missing a few things so we ran over there. And since I’ve started the search for a Wii Fit I wander by the Wii section every time I go in there. No Wii Fit BUT they had a Wii!!! Can you believe it, I hardly did. It’s a big deal to me because a friend of mine is on the hunt for one for Xmas for the kids.

As soon as I saw it, I found a Target employee ASAP to get it as I was calling JoAnne on the phone. She couldn’t make it to Target right then so I bought it for her and she’s gonna swing by and get it tonight. It was so exciting!!! She could hardly believe it and I was just so excited because the kids(there are 5 of them) are gonna have their Xmas Wish come true.

Now if anyone comes across a Wii Fit, grab it, I’ll pay you back!! :0)

Whoa, where’d the time go?!

Yes! Today was a beautiful day!!!

Holding down the beach front

JoAnna came over around 9:30 and we packed up and headed off to the beach. It was a such an awesome day for the beach too. The kids had a blast. Everyone enjoyed the water and the sand. We even found some shells. And Kyla found a Sand Dollar, all on her own! She showed Preston and he was all, “Kyla you found a Lilly Pad”. Too cute.

Looking for shells

Preston even flew his kite for the first time and did a great job. It really is amazing how a simple thing, like a kite can entertain him for so long! He loves figuring out how things work and mastering new skills!

The beach is such an awesome place to go with the kids. Besides dragging all the stuff there and back across the sand and the multiple trips to the potty :0), it’s so simple and so laid back. I love it and the kids love it!

The time flew by while we were there. We didn’t get back to our house until a little after 6:00pm!! The kids had such a fun time that none of them got cranky therefore we lost track of time and before we knew it it was after 4:30.

We even treated the kids(and ourselves) to ice cream on the way home. Which made the trip home longer but oh-so-worth it :0)!

I think Ryan agrees :0):

a bust

So yesterday was a bust. Wendy had a last minute meeting therefore we rescheduled for today. Since Wendy didn’t come over yesterday we had an estimate done for the drywall in the basement and then ran some errands. We made our weekly trip to the library :0). Then went over to Target to pick up some school stuff for Preston then on to Costco for a few things.

This morning Wendy came over and finished up my intereview. She also collected the rest of our paperwork. Now she just needs to go over Jarod’s interview and due a follow up with Preston. Oh and submit our paperwork to the head office to get approved and that’s it. So close!! I also need to get some inspection stuff done but really that’s about it. We’re roughly 1-2 months away from receiving phone calls for a placement!!

Other then that we’ve had a very calm day. It’s been nice! Preston’s friend Adytya came over this afternoon and the boys had fun playing Xbox and Wii…. boys :0).

Hopefully the weather holds for tomorrow and we can make it to the beach. It’ll be nice to get out and enjoy the sunshine. It’s been raining with Thunder Storms for the last couple of weeks now.

tomorrow

So tomorrow Wendy, our coordinater from MENTOR is coming over to get our paperwork and go over what else we need to get done. Therefore we need to finish up a couple things. Jarod’s got his psych eval he’s doing and I have to get a paper over to my Dr. tomorrow morning so I can get it back before Wendy get’s here. I also need to do a little cleaning tomorrow morning :0).

I am SOOO excited to moving with this. We’ve been on hold, well sort of, because of our vacation and Wendy’s vacation but now we are ready to move forward and I can’t wait!!

Wow!

So I was really tired after our day yesterday, therefore I’m posting today :0).

Jarod had a baseball game yesterday morning so we hung out at home and picked up the house. After he got home JoAnna and I took Kyla and Ryan to CoCo Key WaterResort for the afternoon, which turned into evening and then night… we had fun!

CoCo\'s

Ryan is the same age as Kyla, well he’s 4 months younger, so close enough and it was great to get her out with one of her peers instead of Preston and his peers. The kids had a blast! Kyla finally decided the water slides were fun and did that all afternoon! We also enjoyed the lazy river and pool. Oh, we also got dumped with the big huge water bucket more times then I can remember. I think we were there from 2:00pm to 8:00pm, yeah, 6 hours! We had dinner there and just enjoyed letting Kyla and Ryan dictate what we were going to do. It was nice for Kyla to be able to choose what was next since she’s always just “tagging” along with me and Preston. And yes, she fell asleep in the car on the way home!

Today we got up and went up to Nashua to watch Dad play baseball. He made a great catch in Center field and a goofy “slide” into home plate but at least he was safe! His team won and are in the playoffs, which is next weekend. So we’ll see how that goes.

After baseball we went and had lunch then wandered around Toys R Us for the kids’ amusement. Though I did pick up Kyla’s Birthday present… one down and one to go :0)

Good days :0)

Yesterday we had a calm day. While Preston had gymnastics I had a playgroup for Kyla. JoAnna and her boys were our only visitors. They had fun playing trains and running circles through the house :0). Kyla even gave Ryan a kiss when they left, awwww.

After we picked up Preston and had lunch we headed over to Preston’s Kindergarten for an outdoor playgroup with his new classmates. There was only one other person that showed up and that was Jared… we already now them :0). So the boys(and girls) had fun playing on the playground and then we headed home. I should say it was sprinkling when we headed over to the school so I figured not many would show plus I had already talked to Joanne so I knew they were planning on going.

After dinner we got the kids in bed and I headed over to JoAnna’s for the evening. We had a couple beers and chatted the night away. It’s really amazing how friendships happen! I’ve known JoAnna for a while but by chance we discovered we have a common interest and in turn have developed an awesome friendship! I have a lot of different friends in the area that I can call up and do things with but she’s the first that I feel really close to and can depend on. It’s a great feeling especially when your entire family is on the other side of the country. Her family is also in another state so it’s a friendship that we’ve both been seeking.

Today:

Today was Preston’s last day of Gymnastics Camp. He did really good all week and said the camp was “great”. I definitely want to sign him up for the Winter session, just not sure about the fall session. It’s bit pricey but it’s something he has a great interest in! Plus he’ll play soccer in the fall. So I might just rotate soccer and gymnastics unless he really really wants to do gymnastics, then I’ll have to figure out some way to make it happen…. the life of a parent :0).

After gymnastics I took Preston over to Jared’s house. I hung out for a while and then went back to our house(with Kyla) so I could get some cleaning done and so Joanne could get some cleaning done too. It was a really good day. I got a break from Preston for about 6 hours today and he had a great time at camp and at Jared’s.

Now we’re just waiting for Dad to get home from work so we can order some Chinese food, yum!

Homeschool??

So today Preston enjoyed gymnastics again… once I got him there. I locked my keys inside the house and had to have Jarod come back to unlock the house… woohoo me! He was only 10 minutes late and a majority of the class was late too.

After we dropped Preston off Kyla and I headed over to a friend’s house for a Homeschooling info. meeting. I like to know what my options are so I wanted to see where Homeschooling has come. It’s come so far from when I was in school. There is such a better network, matterials and outside programs that welcome Homeschooling groups. I have no plans to take Preston out of school to Homeschool or Kyla either. But you never know anymore and I like to know what’s out there.

I think for the time being since Kyla has at least 2 more years before K that I’ll join up with a friend whose child is about the same age and do some Preschool Homeschool stuff. She has the interest right now so as long as it’s there I’ll flow with it :0)!
