Wilson’s World

So today started off slow, which was nice!

Jarod had a soccer game and Preston went with him. Even took his Magna-doodle so he could keep track of the goals :0). They tied and Preston had fun playing with the other kids there.

After they got home we went over to Theresa’s to get a Bumbo for Baby K. She really likes it! Thanks! Then on to Kyle’s to pick up a crib for her too. Another big thanks!

After that we headed over to Babies R Us, haven’t been there in a while :0)! Got Baby K some new clothes and a couple other things. It was fun shopping for a baby again :0). When we left there we walked over to the Xmas Tree Shop and picked up some random things and then on to Target. Preston had saved up enough money to get some Pokemon, yes, Pokemon cards. He was so excited, he’s been waiting to get some. We then took the kids to McDonalds since they had done a good job while we were out. And finally got home :0)

Like I said, today started off slow ;0). All-in-all is was a good day.

Tomorrow is Jarod’s Birthday and I think we are going out to Dinner while JoAnna watches the kiddos…. good luck to her :0). Nah, they’re excited she’s coming over to “hang out” with them :0).

SO, today was one crazy, crazy day!

Here goes….

Jarod got Preston up at 7:30 to get him to his 8:00am soccer game this morning. I was suppose to meet him there but took advantage of the extra sleep instead :0). This was also his last soccer game and got a trophy at the end so I’m a bit bummed that I didn’t get a photo of it but, whatcha gonna do :0).

They got home around 9:30 and Preston, Baby K and I turned around and drove up to a Bday party and a Glow Bowling place. It was fun and the Preston enjoyed himself!

We then left there and made our way back home, met Jarod and Kyla, loaded everyone up in the car, drove over to JoAnne’s house and picked up Jared and then followed JoAnne to a movie theater in Lowell. Dream Works uses stuff that Jarod’s work makes so we got a free preview of Madagascar 2. It was good! Everyone had a great time and we even got free popcorn and sodas!! It was funny though because there was security and they made sure no one pulled out their phones or anything!

THEN, after that we came home for a bit. At 4:30 the kids and I, minus Baby K, ran over to a local field to help set-up the Pumpkin Walk. It took about an hour and then we headed back home grabbed some dinner and found out that Boo wondered over to the neighbors house and scared them so they called Animal Control who brought him home. As we were getting ready to head back to the Pumpkin Walk, Kyla opened the door and let Dexter out. Needless to say I took the kids and wen to the Pumpkin Walk while Jarod got Dexter and had some quiet time ;0).

The Pumpkin Walk was good. We had some well carved pumpkins and we played the Charlie Brown Halloween movie. The kids really liked it. When we got there our friends Jen and Katie were there. We walked through the pumpkins with them and Preston and Katie watched the movie together… and Kyla. We got warm cider, cookies and a glow bracelet. As the movie ended Jared and his family arrived. We all walked out back through the pumpkins together and made our way to the cars. It was chilly!

We got home around 7:30. Jarod had gotten Dexter back in the house. Preston was tired and wanted a fire, so I lite one of those instant log things and he laid down and fell asleep on the floor in front of the fire!!!! Kyla on the other hand, still rarin’ to go. Dad got her in the bath and eventually in bed while I fed Baby K.

Now it’s 9:00pm and I’m ready for a big fat cup-cake from Costco and a movie or a couple of tv show AND a quiet day tomorrow!

So yesterday was Halloween. Preston was soooo excited, he loves Halloween.

Baby K’s nurse came over in the morning. She’s doing good. Then we headed over to Jen’s for a Halloween Playgroup. Kyla wouldn’t wear a costume though…. of course. The kids had fun and is was really nice to see everyone.

That night Jarod took Preston Trick-or-Treating with Jared and his family. They had a lot of fun and Preston got a ton of candy!

I took Kyla over to JoAnna’s. We took the kids out but Devin only made it through a couple of house as he had an ear infection… poor guy, so Kristian took him back to the house and JoAnna and I took Ryan and Kyla around their neighborhood. They were so excited and got a good amount of candy too.

So the days are going well. Baby K is adjusting to us and liking to be held more :0). She really likes to be rocked at night. Kyla is very interested in helping me do everything. She asks all day if we are going to change her diaper. She likes to get the diaper and wipes out for me.

Dad was awesome yesterday and took the kids out for dinner so I could enjoy some “quiet” time. Baby K was sleeping. It was nice!

Today was suppose to be a busy day but ended up being pretty quiet. We had a playgroup this morning but only one person made it. It was nice, though, nice and quiet. The kids ran around the house on their own and had a great time. Baby K was suppose to have a visit with her parents and the visiting nurse but both got canceled. Then after Preston got on the bus a couple of people came over and were trained by Sid for Baby K’s monitor. This way we have babysitters and emergency back-up. I also had to have these people background checked, oh the fun :0).

It’s so nice knowing I have back-up in case I need to leave Baby K with someone and that they were willing to come over on their own time for the training. THANKS guys!!!

After that we cleaned the house and Dad took Preston to gymnastics. It was a nice day.

Tomorrow the visiting nurse comes to check out Baby K. I think JoAnna is coming over and we’re gonna take some Fall/Halloween pictues. After that we’re heading to a Halloween playgroup then on to Trick-or-Treating that night.

What’s funny about Trick-or-Treating is that Jarod and I are already trying to figure out who is gonna go with which kid to their friend’s house to go Trick-or-Treating…. they’re only 3 and 6!!! Too funny!

Let’s see…

Sunday we had a nice relaxing day at home, it was nice. In the afternoon our friends and their kids came over and we played in the sunshine and used the BBQ one last time before the snow. The weather was sooo nice!

Yesterday was pretty quiet too. I enjoy the quiet :0). Baby K is doing well. We had our first weekly meeting with my Coordintor from MENTOR, Jen today(Tuesday). She basically hung out with us for a while and we just discussed how Baby K is doing. And really that’s it.

While I was doing that Preston went over to Jared’s house and played. Mainly because he’s a distraction when I’m trying to focus and also Baby K was suppose to have a Dr. appt. today but that was rescheduled even though they didn’t let me know. Whatever, I know this is part of the “job”.

Other then that we’ve just been enjoying our days and having a little one in the house. She’s such a good girl and yes, we are getting attached :0)

Last night was fun. Only a couple of Moms were able to come over but we made the best of it. It was actually nice to a small group and good conversation :0).

Today Jarod took Preston to Hockey and the girls and I met them there. Preston’s doing really well on the ice. Jarod really doesn’t need to go out there anymore. Mainly because Jarod can’t keep up with him :0). He’s also starting to learn how to glide. I can’t wait to see where he’s at in a few weeks!

After that we headed home and had lunch. Then off to soccer. Preston really loves soccer. It’s so nice that he was able to start so young. He’s getting better and better every year!

OH, before soccer I was able to pull out Preston’s loose tooth!!! He’s very excited for the Tooth Fairy to come but he doesn’t want her to take the tooth until after he gets to show his class :0).

Let’s see… Wednesay I took both kids to the dentist while baby K visited with her Mom and Dad. It was Kyla’s first time at the dentist and was a pro! She did awesome and even asked to go back the next day. They both have great teeth and Preston has two big boy teeth coming in. So we have to get some baby teeth out of the way. If they don’t come out by Sunday I have to call and take him back in so they can get one of the teeth out. Then we have a two week window for the other one.

Then that evening JoAnna came over and we worked out with the Wii Fit, my legs are still a bit sore today :0)

Thursday! Thursday the visiting nurse stopped by to check on baby K in the morning. All is well :0). After Preston got on the bus we made our way down to WIC and got baby K all set up. They were really nice and now we get free formula for her. After that we headed up to JoAnna’s house to let Ryan and Kyla play. Ryan’s not taking naps anymore so it works out well for them.

While they did their thing JoAnna and I worked on cleaning her house. Sounds weird, huh?! We actually are starting a new little thing where we help each other clean our houses once a week. I think it will work out well and our houses will be cleaner and everyone will be happier :0)

We then ran home got Preston and took him to gymnastics. He did really well. He’s getting better and better and everything.

After dinner I ran back over to JoAnna’s with baby K to watch Ryan and Devin while she and Kristian went to a concert in Boston. The kids were all really good and I really enjoyed the quiet time for myself :0)!

Now were back to settling down into this Friday. We made a trip to the grocery store to pick up some formula for baby K and now it’s on to cleaning the house as I am having Game Night for our Moms’ group here at the house tonight :0)!

Just wanted to post that we are all doing good!

We made it through last night without any alarms going off :0)! She slept really good too. And she pretty much has slept all day today.

We had a small playgroup this morning here at the house. It was nice to have some extra hands around… thanks guys!!

After the playgroup we headed over to Preston’s old preschool and talked to the teachers about Kyla starting there. Also one of the teachers is in the process of starting MAPP training so it was nice to share baby K with her :0)!! Also she’ll be our babysitter if we need one, yay for Dawn!

After that we ran up to the grocery store to get diapers and formula. Then after that we ran home and gave baby K her medicine and then we went over to JoAnne’s house for a few minutes before Preston got off the bus.

It was nice to get out of the house with everyone and I’m learning how to juggle the monitor but other then that we’re doing good :0)!

So baby K, as I’ll call her, arrived today around 1pm. She’s much bigger then I expected. She’s really good, much like Kyla was. The monitor isn’t too bad. I think the worse part right now is remembering that she’s hooked up to it…. meaning you can’t just pick her up and walk away :0)! The monitor is portable so it goes where she goes, no biggie.

Kyla’s been her protector, keeping a watchful eye on her :0). Preston really excited and wants her to sleep in his room :0)

As for photos, I can’t post any here until we make this a private blog. Her photos can not be available to the public…. sorry! I did email out her photo to most of you. If you didn’t get it please let me know!
