It’s been a year! One whole year!

A year ago today we began our journey as Foster Parents. Around 2pm MENTOR brought to me a little baby girl of 2 months. She had a full head of hair, a sleep apnea monitor and medications.

She was little and quiet, went with the flow and didn’t mind being here.

Now one year later, she’s walking, “talking”, voicing her opinion whether through throwing her pacifier/food/toy, hitting or shrieking. She’s still the happiest little thing. And yes, she’s still little but quiet, no more!

We have been through an amazing journey with her. Learning things I never thought I would. We went from at least 5 appointments a week to now, which is a normal well baby visit schedule.

I’ve seen her grow into a fabulous toddler that looks to me for safety and encouragement. Her eyes light up when she sees Jarod and walks as fast as she can to hug his legs. He gets so excited to see Preston’s bus and waves profusely as he gets off. She loves her play time with her big sister, Kyla and Kyla loves taking care of her little sister.

We have bonded over many great happenings and many stressful times at the doctors and/or hospital visits. She is part of our family and will be with us forever……….
