Today was fairly laid back, well sort of.
After we got up and ate we headed out to run some errands, one of which was an excitting trip to Target. The boys were SO excited to go to Target and pick out a Transformer you would of thought they were going to Disneyland :0)! Preston picked out Baracade, and is actually sleeping with it, while Joshua picked out Jazz and Smokescreen(I think), we couldn’t find another Baracade and Preston is looking for a certain Bumblebee. Kyla didn’t get anything because she got 2 horse puzzles from the Farm on Thursday.
After Target we hit McDonald’s and the kids were beyond awesome. I stunned the people next to us as I had to take Kyla to the bathroom(they were done eating and playing in the tunnels) I had the boys sit down at our table and I ran her to the bathroom and when I returned(even to my amazement) they were still sitting there waiting. They hadn’t made a break for it back into the tunnels, the grandparents next to us were abslutely blown away… what a great feeling :0)!
We then ran into Shaw’s(grocery store) to grab Kyla her night night diapers(aka store brand pull-ups) and then after that we ran to Walgreens to grab Joshua’s photos. I got a coupon online and ordered his photos so that he could take them home. Now I just need to put them in the album, which I forgot to get the first trip to Target.
The boys were pretty much worn out, as boys get when women are shopping ;0), so we headed home and went swimming. We had been in the pool for a while when a friend stopped by to return a book and they ended up joining us in the pool for the afternoon. It also allowed me to have a witness for my crazy child(Kyla). Now remember JUST yesterday she decided the pool was a fun place to be! So today she is trying out all the floats and even tried the belts(Preston’s float system he learned on) but then out of no where she decided she knew how to swim… without floats!!!!!!
I first saw her take an arm out of her ring and was like, “what are you doing?”. Then she swam over to the ladder took of her ring and told me she wanted to get in. So I got her and put her in the watter so she could use her “kickers” and the next second she’s all, “NO, let go, let me go”! So I did, well not literally, I did keep a light grasp on her as she went under… the first couple of times, which didn’t really faze her. The last time, I let her go under a little bit more and she swallowed some water and it convinced her that she might not be ready to swim on her own………. CRAZY KID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One whole year and she wouldn’t get it and then 24 hours she decides she can swim on her own, she’s so amusing!
After dinner Kyla and I headed out to Target, again and picked up some clearance shoes for the kids(between 2 and 4 dollars) and some other clearance items. They have a patio table(a little higher then a normal table) for $55(yeah, you read that right), normally priced at $220. I’m so tempted but I think it’s too high to find chairs for, it’s not an eating talbe, it’s a gathering table. So I don’t know, there were only 2 left not including the floor model… maybe the floor model will go on clearance too!
Tomorrow is our last day with Joshua, he leaves at 8 in the morning on Monday. It’ll be sad to see him go as he’s fit right in with our family, you wouldn’t realize we’ve only had him a week and a half. He’s such a great kid and Preston is going to miss him. Hopefully he can come back next year! Anyways, Jarod’s got to take the trailer in tomorrow morning and hopefully they’ll be able to get to it and replace the hot water tank before we leave for vacation, everyone keep your fingers crossed! Then he’s helping a teammate move, shouldn’t take to long and I REALLY hope it doesn’t as we are planning on either taking the boys to CoCo Key’s or the Ecotarium!
Oh and don’t think I’m leaving you without any visuals :0)
