So tomorrow is our Big Day, Joshua our Fresh Air Fund(FAF) child arrives, in the afternoon. Everyone is so excited!! I just talked to Cynthia, Joshua’s Mom and she was getting ready to pack his stuff. She already put one of her kids on a bus this morning for the FAF and was really impressed with how organized the FAF was. That was really great to hear, it’s nice to know what’s going on on the other end too. I also got permission from Cynthia(thanks!) to post pictures of Joshua on our blog so everyone(and her) will get to see what we are up to everyday. I can’t wait!!!!
I spent most of the day getting Preston’s room re-organized so that there is less toys and more room for a bed for Joshua. It looks good! Preston absolutely LOVES his “new” room. Now I just have to get some Transformer stuff to put on the walls! After I get done typing this I need to pick up the living room and clean the bathrooms :0).
As if Joshua arriving tomorrow isn’t enough I’m also having a Pool Party playgroup at the house for my Moms’ Group… yeah, I keep myself busy! Most of the kids are Kyla’s age so Preston’s friend Jared is coming over so he has a friend his age. Plus he may not see him for a while since Joshua will be here. The pool is an awesome 80 degrees though, FANTASTIC!!!!! Love the solar heater!
Oh, yesterday we went to a playgroup at Alison’s house, it was her daughter’s 3rd Birthday. Crazy to think the kids are gonna be 3. When I joined the group they were only like 13 months… crazy! Anyways, the kids had a lot of fun but I got overheated. It’s really annoying how easily I’m getting overheated. I stayed in the shade and drank almost 2 bottles of water, I just get a horrible headache and am wiped out. I’ll pry talk to Dr. Lee if it keeps up, I love my Dr., she’s great!
Yesterday evening I went over to JoAnna’s house and we started learning how to read a Tarot Deck that I have. It was a lot of fun. I really enjoy getting to know people on a different level, especially when we have similar interests. JoAnna and I realized we are much more alike then we ever knew :0). I’m looking forward to our next night out!
Her family is also getting a child from the FAF tomorrow, so it’ll be nice to be able to have playgroups and such. Preston’s teacher Mrs. Hammel is also hosting for the FAF. We’ll all be at the Welcome Party tomorrow, it’s going to be so exciting. I’ll make sure to take lots of photos. Until then I gotta go clean.
