There’s always something to do, big or small.
After getting back from the beach I mowed the front and back yards and worked on cleaning out the trailer. Sunday we laid around all morning and enjoyed our time off. Then Jarod figured out what was wrong with the awning on the trailer. We just need a new piece, easy fix, yay! He also finished putting together the basketball hoop that we had gotten Preston somewhere around a month or so ago and I had started putting together. Preston LOVES it! Oh, and I vacuumed the pool. It was a good Sunday afternoon, one of those weekend afternoons that feels laid back yet accomplished and family involved. It was a good!
Today we were suppose to have a playgroup but two people canceled and then two more people no showed… shame on them! I was a bit annoyed cause if I knew they weren’t coming then I would’ve went to the gym, oh well. We made lunch and then headed to Lowes and got paint for Preston’s room. I also picked up a couple of Mistints for 5 and 2 dollars. Good deal! One was a small can of white, which works for me since I need to redo the baseboards. The other can was a beige which also works for me because it’ll either be the hallway or living room. Deals are good! They had a 5 gallon can of deck stain for 50 that I was very tempted to buy but we already have some.
Not sure when I’m going to paint because the kids REALLY want to help! Preston would do fine but Kyla would be a disaster and I’m not ready to deal with red paint all over everything. Plus then Preston would fall apart because there’s paint on all his stuff….
Anyways, we’ll see how it goes. Oh and Preston picked out the color for his room. Well I picked out 4 color swatches and he picked the one he liked best. Gotta love controlled choices :0)!
