The beach!

So today we got up and headed off to the beach, Old Silver Beach, I think was the name. It was a good beach for the kids. Very shallow and it stayed shallow for a very long way out into the ocean. Both kids were out in it as far as they could go. It was a lot of fun!

We stayed all day and enjoyed the nice sunny day. Tomorrow is suppose to be rainy so we may head to the aquarium or something. I gotta look up a couple things after I post this.

OH and photos are taking WAY too long to upload so you all are gonna have to wait until we get back for visuals… sorry!!

We’re here

SO we’re here at Cape Cod!!

It took a little bit to get here as we had a minor accident on the way down! There was an accident at one of the exits and traffic came to a hault and even though Jarod stood(literally) on the breaks and we almost came to a stop but not quite so we ended up rear-ending a van. Luckily it had a metal bumper so the Tahoe just buckled it. They couldn’t open the doors. And our Tahoe has a couple of dents in the bumper and it may have pushed the bumper back and inch or two…. love my Tahoe! No air bags or nothing. Kyla didn’t even wake up!!!

After that we finally got to the Campground and got all set up only to find out the electric didn’t work. Come to find out only one of the outlets work, there were two. So after the electrician came we got an adapter and all is fine!

So finally we got completely settled and got Preston to calm down about wanting to do EVERYTHING right then!!

On to today. We got up a bit early and I took the kids to the playground while walking C.J.. We then headed back and got Dad and went to the pool. Then back to the trailer for lunch and to hang out for a bit. THEN down to the lake for the afternoon. After and awesome chicken dinner I made Preston and Dad headed back to the pool! Inbetween all of this Preston rode his bike and scooter!! He also rode his bike and scooter to the pool, playground and lake!

I’m just now getting on the internet, as you may have noticed, so tomorrow I’ll get some photos posted!!

We’re off to the beach tomorrow!

packing

It’s so nice to get things done ahead of time. With knowing that Jarod was going to be gone all last week I knew that I had to get the trailer loaded by myself which pushed me to do a little bit each day instead of waiting until the last minute! Today I ran a couple errands, Kyla went with me and then came home so Jarod could go to his baseball game, it gone rained out after 2 innings!

We got all of our clothes in the trailer along with toys and pool/beach stuff. It’s nice knowing that it’s all done, well besides the last minute errands we have to do tomorrow. Nothing big just dropping Boo off at JoAnna’s and picking up a bike trailer from another friend. Oh and we need to run into the trailer store to grab a thing for the sewer hook-up… woo fun!

But before all of that we have to get up cause a contractor is coming to give us an estimate on the dryeall repair. The liability people from Sears need official estimates from the contractors…. always something to delay their decisions!!!!

Anyways, going to bed!

Last night

So last night was Game Night at my house. We only had 4 people but we had fun! I made some After Party punch and a friend brought Jello shots and of course we had snacks. Besides talking all night we played Catch Phrase which is a fun game but it’s hysterical after you’ve been drinking :0). It was a good night and I needed it since Jarod’s been in Canada all week!!

Today Kyla was up at 5am, awesome after a night of drinks. Though actually it wasn’t bad waking up this morning! After we got up and got going I vacuumed the pool out, mowed the lawn, trimmed the trees, a friend stopped by for a few minutes to drop off some Canobie Lake tickets, we then went to Misty’s house to go swimming, returned home and I vacuumed out my car and now I just got done loading food into the trailer. One busy day if I do say so myself.

Kyla swimming at Misty\'s

It was nice to take a break and head up to Misty’s to go swimming. Preston hasn’t seen Chandler in a while and they always have a good time together. Plus it was nice to hop in an in-ground pool again :0).

It also feels good knowing all that needs to be put in the trailer is clothing and toys. Though I do want to run to the grocery store tomorrow to get some bread, lunch meat and veggies.

Jarod will be home here in a few so Preston is staying up to see him, which has been really fun. He really needs his “own” time without Kyla around and he’s getting a good dose of right now. He hung out with me in the trailer and colored for a while, rode his bike and then I had him sit down with me and we looked for lightening bugs. He was so excited to see them and bats!! He counted the stars caught a frog and wandered around the yard and house with his flashlight. He’s such a great kid and he’s been soooo sweet latley. It’s so nice when I get to see his awesome manners and deep thoughts. He’s really starting to express himself with his words more, which has been something we’ve worked on for a while(at school too) and it’s so neat to see how deep his thoughts are. He and I are really a lot alike, which is why we butt heads so much…… hi Dad :0).

Well, tomorrow I’m hoping to get the backyard mowed so it’s not a complete amazon when we get back. Other then that it’s just running some errands and getting the laundry done, which I will start doing as soon as I log off.

Catch ya later :0)

So figured I’d post now

Some friends are coming over here in a few so I figured I’d post now because frankly I won’t be able to later :0).

We headed over to Preston’s friend’s house today. He hung out at Jared’s while I ran some errands. Kyla and I returned a bike to Chrissy(thanks!), that she loaned us while Joshua was here, then we went to Shaw’s and got some bread, spinach dip and juices(to mix). After that we hit the Liquor store. It was really weird taking a kid in there but hey, gotta do whatcha gotta do. Then the lady had to look at my ID TWICE. I mean seriously, I’m 30, do I really look 20…. I’ll take it though :0). We then retuned to Jared’s house and hung out there for about another hour and then headed home for dinner. I now need to get the kids in bed before people get here… good thing Kyla is tired!

Oh, here are some photos of my last hair cut, it was cut on the 12th:

My awesome moment of the day!

So I’m having friends over tonight and I was getting ready to make some brownies. I opened the cupboard to get the pan out and couldn’t find it and then went, “OH, I bet it’s still in the trailer!”. And yes, it was – we went camping July 4th!!!!!! So it’s been in the trailer oven since then with excess brownies in it….. awesome!! At least there was no mold or anything, that’s a lot better then Kyla’s milk cups!!

HA, rain, what rain?!

So we braved the rain today and met a friend at Parlee to pick some fruit and buy some corn. Ha, we didn’t even pick 50 cents worth, combined! As soon as we got out to the field it poured on us. We then decided to go back into the Farm Stand and wait it out. The kids ate Blueberry donuts and wandered around the Farm Stand. We then tried to get out to the fields again. Only to have it pour on us agian, at least this time we were only half way there :0). We then went over and visited with the goats. It was covered and the kids had a blast playing in the mud puddles! Well, not Kyla, she was still in shock that she was wet from the rain!

Kyla in the rain

All-in-all it was a fun morning! The kids had fun in the rain and puddles and we did get some fruit and corn!

Preston in the rain

After Parlee we went and got the dogs some toys and then headed home and had lunch. As soon as lunch was done we headed over to Christina’s house, Preston’s friend for the afternoon. They had fun playing inside, riding bikes, playing in the sprinkler and having popsicles. It was nice to see them as we haven’t seen them since school was out. Preston had a good time!

I’ve got to clean tonight because 1) I have a Game Night at the house tomorrow and 2) we’re leaving for vacation soon. Nothing like coming home to a clean house :0).

Oh and then tomorrow I’ll work on packing the trailer and then get Preston over to Jared’s house for the afternoon. We’re always doing something, aren’t we?!

*note: I typed this without my glasses on so sorry if words are missing and what not :0)!

yuck

So we’re having some yucky weather here. Rain, nothing but rain, thunder and lightening. Luckily we got out this morning and went to a playgroup. The kids had fun and so did the Moms. We just hung out inside and had snacks while the kids played, it was nice.

We were hoping to get to Parlee to pick some berries and get some corn but not sure if we’ll make it as it’s suppose to rain ALL day. Hopefully it won’t and we’ll get over there otherwise we’ll try for Friday, it’s suppose to be nice.

I really need to start getting things together for the Cape next week, especially since we’ll be gone all week. Lots of food to pack, clothes to wash and stuff to do. It’s gonna be a good week. Our friends are watching Boo so he’ll have a bit of a vacation too :0). I just gave the kids these camping backpacks I picked up at Target(on clearance, their clearancing out a BUNCH of stuff) and they absolutely love them. They both put them on and went “hiking” throughout the house. They had a “haunted house” with the flashlights/lanturns that came with the backpacks. Preston got a big kick out of the compass it came with and they both enjoyed the waterbottles too. I thought it was a good little deal for 7 or 8 bucks. Oh, Preston put an apple in his and Kyla put applesauce in hers along with a juice drink… they’re ready :0)!

Alright time to go do something…. or not :0)

Tired

So I’m tired! Just thought I would let you all know that :0).

After Joshua left yesterday we headed home for a bit and then off to the Chevy dealer to get a oil change, had a coupon :0). Then I took Preston and Kyla to Pizza Hut for lunch, his favorite! After that we made a Costco stop and then on to home where I did some well needed cleaning. That evening I got the kids in the bath and such when my friend came over. She hung out with Preston while I got Kyla in bed. Preston decided out of the blue to read her a book. Yes, he read the book TO her. He did a GREAT job!! After he was done he went upstairs and watched a movie in our room so JoAnna and I could have Mom time.

We were suppose to do some more learning of the Tarot cards but never got to it :0)! We had a couple “adult” drinks and talked the night away. It was a fun night! It’s been really great getting to know her better as the more we talk the more we realize how much alike we are and how much we have in common. It’s been awesome also in the aspect that we both are pretty much up for trying anything so we’ve made some fun trips over the past few weeks and have more planned for the next few weeks :0).

Alright, on to today!

We had a playgroup at the house today but it ended up being more of a playdate with JoAnna and her boys as she was the only attendee. We hopped in the pool for a bit, had watermelon and played on the swing set. It was a nice relaxed morning.

After lunch we headed over to the trailer place and got the trailer. Luckily they got it all fixed up yesterday. Meaning they put in a new Hot Water Tank. But at least it was only $480 instead of $800…. I’ll take that. So now it’s home and I have time to get it all packed before we leave for the Cape next week! We’re looking forward to this vacation as this will be our first camping experience in a resort type campground with full hook-ups, meaning we’ll have water, electric and sewer hook-ups. No having to watch how much water we’re using, limiting our bathroom use and no showering in the public showers. Yay a home-away-from-home!

Homeward Bound

Sorry! Joshua did go home yesterday!

We got up early and got him to the bus by 8am. He was REALLY quiet and ready to go see his Mom :0). Cynthia called me that afternoon to let me know he arrived and all is going well. I’ll call her here in a bit to make sure I got all of his stuff in his bag!

Our friends are having a very rare happening. Their FAF child didn’t want to leave and even after arriving home is VERY sad that he can’t come back right now! Though since the FAF is a wonderful program they are working on maybe getting back out here next month. This is very rare and he his very worked up about not being to come back right now. It’s really neat that he had such a wonderful time but it also has to be so hard on his family and Dawn’s family! We’ll see what happens.

I did take photos of the depature but I forgot my card so they are on my internal memory which means I have to find the cable. And of course I have NO idea where it is!!
