Yesterday was long! I meant to do this last night but I was too tired.

Let’s see…. We got up and went to gymnastics both kids did really good. Preston had a different teacher, his normal one was on vacation. It was really good for him to have someone different, he did a lot of different things.

We then met Dad for lunch at a sub place. Preston freaked out about not getting a cookie… we’re working on asking for what he wants instead of demanding it! I had a yummy salad and Kyla snacked on my bread, she’s not a sandwich person.

After lunch we headed to One Stop Fun, they have a huge 3 story climbing structure with slides and a rock wall… the kids love it! We spent a couple of hours there. Kyla only liked going on the super tall slide, which meant I had to climb up the platforms with her and lift her to each one, she’s not quite tall enough to climb and she’s scared of the tubes(which would lead her right to the slide). I was tired!

Preston then went to a make up class for gymnastics. He had Kyla’s teacher and it was a class of only boys(his other class is only him and another girl).

We finally made our way home around 4:45 and made my first Let’s Dish meal.
OH, I went to Let’s Dish the night before(Wed. night). It’s one of those places where you make your meals and then freeze them. I had a lot of fun. I like putting the ingredients together and stuff plus we did it with our Mom’s Group, which is always fun. I did 8 meals but we’re allowed to split them so actually we have 16 meals, each serves 3 people. It’s awesome having prefixed meals in the freezer. Not having to figure out what to make for dinner is nice!! You just thaw it out and follow the instructions that come with it, it’s awesome. I can see myself doing this again for sure!

On to today. Not a whole lot, well compared to yesterday. We have a Birthday Party to go to. One of Preston’s friends is a Leap Day baby so this is her first “real” Birthday. I gotta pick him up early from school here in a few, so I better get going :0).

This morning was busy! We woke up had breakfast, got our stuff together and headed out the door to Perpetual Motion. It’s an indoor playground. The kids loved it!!

Because Preston is a ‘big kid’ he was able to go into both areas. He really like playing on the rings. It was a challenge to get the second ring but he did it :0).

Kyla really enjoyed it too…. until more people came. She gets overwhelmed when a lot of people are around and there were a lot. She then decided to eat snack the rest of the time we were there, oh well. She still had fun.

All-in-all it was a great place. We went with our Mom’s group so it was nice to see everyone. It’s a little hectic at times keeping track of everyone(I babysat today too) but luckily our Moms are great and helped me keep an eye on everyone… thanks guys! The best part though, I got Preston to school on time. Yes, I’m impressed with myself! ;0)

Let’s see not a whole lot going on. We hung out yesterday, Preston’s school started back up. But other then that we didn’t do anything exciting.

Kyla had a hard night last night. She waking up to pee, well almost. Her diaper is a little damp but she still pees on the potty. So for the first time in I don’t’ know when she’s taking a nap, YAY!

On the funny side of things. Dad stayed home this morning so I could get some extra sleep(due to Kyla’s hard night). After lunch he headed off to work. He said bye to Kyla and Preston and Preston said bye and then Kyla chimed in, “Bye bye Cheese Ball”. Too funny!

So I compeltely thought I wrote something yesterday… or at least I told myself too :0).

Anyways, we didn’t do much! We just hung out and watched the snow fall, we got a bunch. The state issued some warning to companies to shut down around 2pm and go home… Red Hat did but Jarod was already home :0).

Today I slept in, which was good since Kyla is having some hard nights lately! I think it’s all due to the poop issue, she didn’t go again today, she did go yesterday though. But she got freaked out when it took a second to drop from her bottom… I know you all wanted to know that :0)! So we’re having some clinginess, which is NOT Kyla, it’s a little bit of adjustment for us!!!! I got her ANOTHER potty seat, I took the one I got the other night back because she wouldn’t sit on it. She sat on the exact same one at a friends house but not here! So I got her another one, a bit more expensive but she sits on it and that’s all that matters! Plus it’s got a built in pee guard and since she likes to watch herself go it keeps her pee in the potty and not on her pants. The little things ;0).

Dad snow blowed the driveway or at least most of it, ran out of gas in the snow thrower. So he’s gotta finish up tomorrow, I think :0). Preston played int he snow, his favorite. He likes to lay in it and dig, he’s a goof!

Other then that not much here.

We finished our spiders, except for the googley eys, I still can’t find them!

So last night was a little rough. Kyla was up for a while… going pee about 3 or 4 times, I don’t remember but eventually she went back to bed. I was tired today!!

We get up this morning eat and get out the door to gymnastics. But when we get ther it was packed!! We had to park in a back parking lot that I didn’t even know existed. I figured maybe there was a couple Bday parties going on…. NO. We go in and it’s CRAZY, kids everywhere and gymnastics is insane and FINALLY it dawns on me, there’s NO gymnastics this week due to it be Mid-Winter break for the schools. I mean, duh, Preston’s out of school… I have no memory, maybe it’s due to a lack of sleep :0).

We finally get back to the car after a potty trip and arguing about not playing on the slides(they have a climbing structure there) and call Dad and get him for an early lunch. We hit McDonald’s. I felt bad because they didn’t get to do gymnastics and then I wouldn’t let them play on the slides because we had to be somewhere at 1…. they were happy with McDonald’s. Preston loves the slides/climbing thing and Kyla just hung out with us and made about 3 trips to the potty, not going once! So then we decided to leave, Dad had to go back to work and that’s when Kyla decided she wanted to go play, too late :0)! So we left with her screaming. It doesn’t last long she just has to voice her opinion!

We drop Dad off and venture to a friends for a Playgroup. We a little early because of no gymnastics and I thought it would take us longer to get there. It was only our 2nd time going that way to her house…. sorry Jen! The kids had a blast. Kyla got a hold of a Littlest Pet Shop thing and was in heaven. Preston played with his friends upstairs in the toy room and had lots of fun… it was nice to “get rid” of him for a little while. He’s been obnoxious this week, maybe due to no school, I don’t know. Anyways, Kyla went potty about a million times. She had to poop but refused to. She wanted a diaper again but I stuck to my guns and said no. I know she won’t go in her pants because she doesn’t want to mess her pants… at least I have that going for me :0) She is doing really well, we were gone all day and she did awesome and finally pooped in the potty after we got home, yay!

Okay back to the playgroup fun. The kids decorated cupcakes. Preston basically put as much stuff on them as possible but has NO interest in actually eating them. Kyla on the other hand just had a plain cupcake, she was happy! Preston did eat some M&M’s, his favorite. So after the sugar kicked in the kids went off again upstairs playing, well, almost. The next thing you know someone is crying and I thought it was Preston but was like nah, even Kyla realized it was him. So we get up the stairs and he’s holding his eyes and said his friend sprayed him with something. I was like okay let’s wash it out THEN I saw what he got sprayed with, WINDEX. I was totally fine with it being some soap or smelly thing but a cleaner totally freaked me out. Especially since I didn’t know how much got sprayed and he wouldn’t open his eye, he just kept crying/screaming. I got him in the bathroom and tried to wash it off, he got mad and pulled away from the sink and then I realized we need to call someone to make sure we don’t need to go to the Dr. Luckily Jen called Poison Control and they said to wash it out for 10 minutes with warm water. So by then he had calmed down a little and we got him to sit still and sprayed water from a squirt bottle on it and not to long after that he was fine, back to running around having a blast.

Me on the other hand had a throbbing headache(I already had a small one before this happened) and when I went to get some Advil from my car my nerves got the best of me and I started shaking and the tears fell. I wasn’t mad at anyone it’s just the afterwards part that always gets me. I can be as calm as can be in a crazy situation but afterwards, when all is fine I lose it… I guess it’s better that way :0).

So a little while after that we headed home… Kyla still needed to poop and wanted to go potty but then wouldn’t go, she was driving me crazy but like I said, she went FINALLY after we got home!

All-in-all we had a good day, never dull, that’s for sure :0)!!!

So we, yeah right, Kyla is doing great. She’s only wore a diaper to go to bed tonight… she doesn’t nap. She’s got it down, either she goes all by herself or she tells me she has to go potty. She’s still nervous about the pooping thing(didn’t even go today) but I got her a new seat for the normal toilet tonight so I hope that helps ease her anxiety. Otherwise, YAY!!!

Today we went to a playgroup at a friends house. Well, it was suppose to be here but since we were sick and it snowed and rained our drive-way is a sheet of ice so luckily a friend offered up her home. The kids had fun, Kyla didn’t really want to leave, Preston said it was boring at first but obviously had fun :0)! He was the oldest one there, by about 3 years but hey, he did good; if only we could get past the want to explore other people’s homes, especially the upstairs when we are all downstairs.

This was Kyla’s first trip out and about with no diaper and we had great success!! She had no problem peeing in someone else’s potty and I took her like a million times because the last thing I want is to have her pee on someone else’s carpet or couch… I would feel soooooooo bad!!! But she didn’t so all is good :0)! She’s such an awesome girl!

Let’s see what did we do at home… Well, Preston got a new game for the Xbox a few days ago.. we’ve already beaten it so now we just play whatever levels he wants. Which is probably how he likes it! Oh, we also made bridges with craft sticks(Popsicle sticks) the kids thought that was awesome. We have to work on the railing tomorrow for Preston’s bridge…. he is amazingly creative!!!

We also started making spiders. They painted Styrofoam balls and they took longer then I expected to dry, especially since Kyla’s was coated with paint. Preston’s was a bit better but I wanted him to wait so they could do it together because Kyla would of had a heart attack if she couldn’t do it too. Unfortunately Preston doesn’t like waiting but he managed to. We’ll put the legs in tomorrow and hopefully I can find the googley eyes… I’ve lost them, ahhh

OH, we got Preston’s Kindergarten registration notice today… he’s getting so big!!

So I believe Kyla has decided she’s going to potty train. She’s been wearing underwear for the past few days and is even pooping on the potty… 3 times now :0)!!

She’s doing really well and we pulled out a bag of Preston’s old underwear so now she has plenty. I know that’s kinda gross, using used underwear but I also now how many accidents she’ll have and how many of those underwear will end up in the trash, so I really don’t care!

We’ve been back and forth on the potty thing for about the past month. I thought about pushing her into it since she’s showing interest but then I remember how much she’s like me and know to let her lead the way or we’ll be in a power struggle from hell and she’ll put off potty training for another year :0). Therefore she’s doing very well on her own…. with my assistance.

We’ll see how tomorrow goes.

So we finished our cookies. We made hearts and frosted them with chocolate frosting and Preston put different sprinkles on them. Yes, he used ALL the sprinkles :0). We had one of those containers that had like 8 different types of sprinkles… all gone :0).

OH, Kyla decided she wanted to wear underwear tonight :0)!! She did great, peed in the potty twice, once on her own and the other time when I reminded her. Maybe we are on to something! So she still has her My Little Pony undies on - over her diaper for bed but hey, keep your fingers crossed.

Yay, Preston won’t miss his Valentine’s Party today. School is closed due to inclement weather. It snowed some last night and is raining all day… icky roads.

The kids are feeling better, no fevers, just snot and coughs. I’m also feeling better, still have a cough and am less tired but have to do things a little at a time.

We made Valentine cookies a little bit ago and are resting now or I’m resting, before we decorate them. Preston put on a mini magic show and wants to make a sock puppet…

Let’s see, I’ll recap our last week of illnesses…

Wednesday afternoon a friend stopped by to offer me a donut… thanks Pamela. Soon after eating the donut my tummy didn’t feel so good(not the donut she and her family ate some and are just fine :0). By 6:30 that night the fun began, I was bitten by the stomach bug! On top of me being sick Jarod had already came home around noon with a cold and was sleeping in bed. Anyways, so I start throwing up along with diarrhea, it’s bed time, Jarod’s sick and the kids are confused as all hell.

Preston gets Jarod to come downstairs, which really was no help because he was out of it, I think he had the flu, not sure though. So I eventually get the kids in the shower and Kyla in bed. She’s really confused because she’s never seen me sick or at least not like this. Finally I get her calmed down, in bed and asleep. Jarod is in bed I think and Preston is getting me cups of water and drawing me pictures… so sweet!! I eventually get down stairs… remember I’m throwing up in between all of this… and lay down on the couch. I think Preston eventually went to bed around 10:00pm. He was kind of excited(in a way) that he got to take care of me :0). I think Jarod came down a little after that and we went to bed, or so I thought! Not even 5 minutes later I’m up in the bathroom again, back to the bed and back to the bathroom. I finally give up and lay down on the bathroom floor and sleep off and on between throw ups for what seems like hours… actually it was only like a half an hour or so!!!! When I finally hit my stomach acid I stopped throwing up and got back to bed, it was about 2:30.

The next day I was wiped out!! Jarod pretty much slept all day and the kids ran around and climbed and jumped on me, what fun! Friday comes and I’m still wiped out, totally thought I would be feeling better by then. OH, completely forgot the crazy part of the throwing up thing. I think I had muscle spasms where my arms/hands and legs/feet tingled and then my fingers went straight and froze, I couldn’t move them. It passed quickly but was really weird. I called my Dr. on Friday because my arm was acting weird and she said she believed it was all due to being dehydrated, yay and that happened half way through the throwing up/diarrhea fun!

So, by Friday afternoon Kyla had thrown up once, not bad, just once, I could deal with that. But now I’ve started coughing, my chest hurts and I’m really tired. Kyla on the other hand is doing well, except by Saturday she’d thrown up a couple more times. I’m still coughing and her and I hung out in bed all day! Jarod finally started feeling better and got Preston out of the house for a little while.

By Saturday night, midnight Preston threw-up and ended up sleeping in our room on the floor. Sunday, he’d thrown up a couple more times and Kyla once more. All three of us hung out in bed ALL DAY AGAIN!

Now the fun starts, I go to get some more Tylenol from downstairs because Kyla seems warm, feverish warm. So I get the Tylenol in her and then get her temperature… barely. It was like wrestling a cat to get her temperature but I got it, mostly, 105+… yeah, little high!! So I call the Dr., strip her down and dab her with a warm rag until her temp. comes down. I got it down to 102.3, call the Dr. back and schedule an appt. for Monday. Me still not feeling good, basically whispering because it’s hard to talk and still coughing, woo fun!

So I get the kids to the Dr. and they both get kids tested for flu, FLU. What are flu shots for?! We make our way back home and then I head to Dr. and get tested for flu too, no flu for me, just a virus! Later the kids’ Dr. calls and Kyla has the flu not Preston. K, now Kyla is bouncing off the walls screaming back to her normal self, while Preston is curled up on the couch coughing and tired…. who knew! My guess, Preston’s got the same virus I have and Kyla’s symptoms are just as weird as she is :0).

So now it’s Tuesday, I think… the kids are doing better, Preston has a burst of energy every now and again but they both still have low fevers so Preston’s gonna miss his Valentine’s party unless it snows tomorrow! Jarod’s doing good probably going back to work tomorrow, he stayed home today to let me get some kid free sleep this morning, it sort-of worked :0). I still have a bad cough but am physicaly starting to slowly feel better. I still really can’t eat anything but bananas and bread or it goes straight through me…. I’m close to losing 10 pounds since last Wednesday, I’d say yay but this sucks to much to say yay!

All-in-all it’s been a horrible week and I hope we all don’t get sick for a long time or at least all get sick at the same time!!!
