the big day!

Well after 6 months of counting down the Big Day has finally arrived!!! And as Preston has exclaimed over and over it was the best Xmas ever!!

He got up around 7am and found his Transformers that Santa brought him and while he waited for us and sister to wake up he arranged all the presents by name.

Kyla got a new baby doll that talks and a new cradle/stroller/high chair(made out of wood so they hopefully don’t brake) from Santa.

Preston, as said before, got Transformers from Santa.

Kyla enjoyed digging through her stalking:

Preston literally opened all his presents in about 5 seconds!!!!! But he was very excited to find more Transformers stuff, his very own camera, some great trucks and the ever so famous Crash and Go Racers. Along with many other great presents, thanks to all!!

Kyla on the other hand, took her time and played with everything as she opened it. She really likes the CandyLand Castle game or at least the shapes that go with it, her baby doll car, Doodle Pro, the star basket so she can carry around MORE stuff…. plus many more great gifts, thanks to all again!!

dinner

So we got this bright idea to Fry a Turkey…. it was AWESOME!

I picked up an electric Masterbuilt Turkey Fryer off of ebay and we used it last night to fry up an almost 14 pound turkey. We marinated it with a Cajun type rub and it was great….. Jen you can borrow ours if you want to give it another shot!

Jessie, Jesse and Eamon came up and celebrated Xmas Eve. We had a great meal and the kids opened presents and the big kids played Wii. Then we had some yummy treats.

Then to finish off the night Preston sprinkled his Special Reindeer food outside(he made it at school) so that Santa could find our house.

snow removal….

First off Merry Christmas too all!!

I’m gonna back track a little…..

On Sunday, which was my 30th bday, we really didn’t do much, as I celebrated last weekend but we did have to do some snow removal or at least Jarod did:

p1040566.jpg

No, this isn’t our house :0), it’s our trailer….

p1040567.jpg

we had to get snow off before it rained, which the snow would soak up like a sponge and collapse the roof.

Like the layer of ice in-between the snow!

Anyways, after that or during that I cooked goodies for Xmas eve dinner.

Big Party in the Snow

Since it’s going to rain tomorrow, MY BIRTHDAY we made our way out today to Charmingfare Farm’s Santa’s Big Party. We always do an Xmas themed thing on my birthday, cause what else is there to do ;0). Anyways it was a blast the kids loved it even though it was freezing, literally! We saw Santa and his reindeer, some snowmen, a penguin, a mouse, the Grinch and some other characters. We’ll definitely make our way back there again next year.

Preston dressed and ready to go… he wore his coat and gloves the whole car ride…. just a little excited :0)

leopard girl

The kids painted yesterday and as usual Kyla painted herself. But this time she acutally looks like something, a leopard girl:

p1040427.jpg

She’s goofy but at least she didn’t eat any this time ;0)

Preston on the other hand had to use every color and completely cover the box!

what a time!!

As most of you know I’ll be turning 30 next Sunday but since it is way to close to Xmas I decided to celebrate it this last weekend and boy did we :0)!

About 6 of us girls went out for a night on the town in Boston. We even rented a hotel and everything :0). We left on Saturday about 12:30ish and after roughly 10 tries to get out and up our driveway Alison succeeded…. we had some snow issues :0). We then got to our hotel Mariott Long Wharf in Boston, right on the water next to the Aquarium, it was really nice… good job me :0). And after figuring out the valet parking they let us check-in early and even gave us a huge room along with our other room. We quickly settled in and as soon as Jessie(she lives in the city unlike us other country bumkins) arrived we set out for lunch. We ended up at Wagamamas, I have no idea if I spelled that right, it was full of Asian noodle dishes that were really good and we all did GREAT with our chopsticks.

After lunch we wondered around the little shops, which reminded me of Pike Place Market in Seattle, but a lot less sketchy. We found some yummy cookies and such and then made our way back to the hotel and hung out for a while and then enjoyed the pool and hot tub, WITHOUT kiddos!! We then made our way back to our rooms to get ready for our big night on the town.

After getting ready and doing our hair, I got a new hair cut ;0) we headed out to the North End and wandered up and down the street and finally decided on a little Italian Cafe, that had an awesome Shrimp Scampi and wine!

We then headed out the bars! Our first stop had no cover so we were all over that. Had a couple of drinks, laughed at some people dancing and then headed out to another bar that had dancing and boy did we dance! Somebody said we danced for like 4+ hours and my legs are telling me all about today! We all had a blast dancing, laughing and making fools of ourselves…. it was awesome :0)! There was even another girl whose name was Jamie that was celebrating her Birthday too!

After our great workout we made our way back to the hotel, where we all crashed throughout the room but not before we ordered pizza at 3:00am. After a slice of cold pizza we crashed in our beds and woke up to a storm, which we new was coming. Since it was so icky out we checked out and had brunch in the over priced hotel restaurant but it was good!

We then got ourselves in the car and headed back to the country :0). But since the storm had come and dumped inches beyond inches of snow and it was Sunday the plows were more interested in listening to the Pats play then plow the roads….. so it took us a while to get home but we were safe at our speedy 45mph.

But luckily for the girls that parked at my house, which is the general meeting area because we’re so close to the highway, my fantastic husband had already got out and snow blowed the driveway(the snow was taller than the blower) and he even cleaned the snow off and around their cars!!!!! I think he deserves a medal, especially since all the other husbands were complaining that they couldn’t do anything about the snow because they had the KIDS!! What a stupid thing to say to stay-at-home Mom’s!!!

Anyways, it was an AWESOME time with AWESOME friends…… THANKS everyone!!

Oh, I don’t have any pix yet because I didn’t take my camera but I’ll be getting some from Jen, then I’ll post them

Made his day!

So our little man, well he aint’ so little anymore, was beyond excited for the “blizzard”!

We got a good amount of snow and Preston has been spending lots of time out in it! He digs holes, covers himself up, slithers around like a snake and makes volcanoes :0).

p1040372.jpg

Oh, and Dad got to use the Snow Thrower again….

But as I figured Kyla has redecorated it, broken some bulbs and regularly uses them as bracelets!!

Oh the joy of Xmas!
